Lyrics

From THE WIZARD OF CLAUS: THE MUSICAL

Feeling like she's invisible to her parents since the birth of her baby brother (and feeling lonely since her best friend moved away), SALLY tries to get her parents' attention through the kitchen window by dancing in the snow, but slips and falls down, and sings:
*************************************
I WISH I WAS A SNOWFLAKE
(Music and lyrics by Jason Bravo)

SALLY
I WISH I WAS A SNOWFLAKE.
IT'S A CRAZY THING TO SAY.
BUT IF I WAS A SNOWFLAKE,
I COULD JUST FLOAT AWAY.

FLOAT AWAY ON THE WIND.
WHO KNOWS WHERE I'D LAND?
BUT I BET THAT NO MATTER WHERE I DID,
THEY'D SURELY UNDERSTAND.

I WISH I WAS A SNOWFLAKE
UNDERNEATH A MICROSCOPE
'CAUSE THEN THEY'D SEE I'M SPECIAL.
OH, I CAN ONLY HOPE.

THEN THEY'D SEE IT WITH THEIR EYES,
SEE THAT I'M ONE OF A KIND.
HOW CAN THEY NOT NOTICE?
IT'S OBVIOUS.
HOW CAN THEY BE SO BLIND?

SNOWFLAKES PLAY TOGETHER
IN THE TREES.
THEY DANCE TOGETHER IN THE AIR.
NOT ONE OF THEM IS BY ITSELF:
THEY'RE LIKE BEST FRIENDS
WHO ARE ALWAYS THERE.
I WONDER IF THE SKY IS CRYING
AND EACH FLAKE IS A FROZEN TEAR.
OH, HOW IS THIS SUPPOSED TO BE
THE HAPPIEST TIME OF YEAR?

(Instrumental)

I WISH I WAS A SNOWFLAKE
EVEN THOUGH THEY'RE SMALL.
'CAUSE AT LEAST I KNOW
THAT SNOWFLAKES
AREN'T INVISIBLE WHEN THEY FALL. . .
THEY'RE NOT INVISIBLE WHEN THEY FALL.
